Children Having A Mind to Pursue Success (CHAMPS) is a 12-week support group that helps children to overcome the trauma associated with having a parent in prison or a parent who has recently been released from prison.  The primary goal of the CHAMPS Program is to increase the resiliency of these children. This is accomplished through the development of support group materials designed to help the children to identify, define and learn strategies that provide them with the capacity to overcome various aspects of the trauma they have faced or are currently facing, as a result of having or having had a parent(s) in prison.
